“Revolutionary” new Nintendo Controller
Now, I’m not much of a gamer, at least in the Nintendo GameCube, PS2, X-Box sense. My favorite video game is Robotron, not the NES imitation, but the real thing with two big, real, joysticks that you can wrap your hands around and have to put quarters into. I remember playing it with my girlfriend Louisa in Dallas while waiting to see a movie in about 1983. I’m sure she was thrilled.
I also had the ‘PacMan pattern memorized’ (Thank You Mark Wills). In fact my room mate Don and I used to play it and eat Hagen Daz Ice Cream before we’d study all night at Preston Road School of Preaching.
I had a great time playing Mario Brothers with my friend Kevin, I can’t remember whether I was Luigi or Mario, but when we played as a team we kicked some turtle shell. He tried to get me to play other Nintendo games, but I never could get the stupid controller down, I was always pushing the wrong buttons (at least that’s the excuse I used when he would beat me).
This leads me to the point of this entry . . .
My friend Scott today called me over to his computer and said, “Hey, you have got to see this!” (Now he’s a real gamer and I’m sure he’ll be a famous game designer/programmer some day when he finishes school). He showed me this video clip (30Mb).

Now here’s a game controller I can get into . . . one that senses motion and tilt. No more pushing stupid little ‘A’ ‘B’ buttons. Watch out Kevin, you’ve met your match now
